Giving Machines—The Vending Machine With a Heart

WHO: The Children’s Diabetes Foundation has been selected to be one of 2024’s charities featured in the Light the World’s Giving Machines. 

WHAT: These vending machines are designed to make giving accessible, fun, and impactful. Instead of dispensing items for purchase, the machines offer a way for people to donate tangible goods to those in need.

WHERE: Cherry Creek North – Winter Wanderland Holiday Market at 2nd Avenue and Fillmore, Denver, CO 80206.

WHEN: Machines operate 24/7 from November 13th through January 5th.

WHY: Participating nonprofit organizations receive 100% of all donations.

Items that will be available to donate in the machines:

Diabetes Book | $10

Give a child with type 1 diabetes (T1D) a guide to understanding their diagnosis.

Blood Glucose Meter | $25

Help a disadvantaged child with T1d monitor their glucose levels.

Insulin | $50

Support a T1D child in need with their monthly insulin costs.

Diabetes Soccer Camp | $120

Send a child with T1D to a sports camp for kids with diabetes.

Emergency Glucagon | $250

Provide a life-saving injection kit for someone with dangerously low blood sugar.
