Dana Davis Executive Director
Dana Davis has spent most of her life as an activist, philanthropist and educator, fueled in part through her own personal struggle with type 1 diabetes with which she was diagnosed at age seven. She was the inspiration for the Barbara Davis Center and has been at the forefront of the renowned Children’s Diabetes Foundation. Together with her family, she has raised over $100 million for diabetes research and wellness. After graduating from the University of Southern California with a Master’s Degree in Education, Dana began her career as an elementary school teacher and later created a high-fashion comfort shoe line. Dana lives in Colorado and has a great love of animals.
Amanda MillerDirector of Events & Sponsorships

Amanda, an Iowa native, moved from the Midwest to Denver in 2013. She has a passion for the nonprofit industry and enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her two children and husband. Amanda has a niece that has type 1 diabetes so the cause is very near and dear to her heart. Amanda manages CDF’s sponsorships and largest fundraisers, including The Carousel of Hope in Beverly Hills and The Carousel Ball in Denver. Gaven WilsonOffice Administrator
Gaven is the Office Administrator here at CDF and works to maintain office efficiency and organization whilst offering support to various events and programs throughout the year. Gaven also oversees all publication orders, including The Pink Panther book series. A Seattle native, Gaven has been in Colorado since the spring of 2022. Outside of work, Gaven can be found restaurant-hopping, spending time outdoors, or singing in local choirs around Denver. Gaven can be contacted at Gaven@childrensdiabetesfoundation.org.
